Healthy eyes and vision are a critical part of every child’s development. That’s why we’ve launched "Taking care of the little things" - our children’s eye health campaign. We are encouraging all parents to book an eye test for their youngsters before a new academic year begins.
“You wouldn’t wait until a child had a toothache before you took them to a dentist,” says Natalie Glass. “It’s the same with children’s eyes. It’s vital that they’re regularly checked even if parents think there are no problems.”
A child’s first eye test with a qualified optician should be around the age of three or four so that any conditions are picked up and treated early.
Look out for our practice windows, children's colouring competition in practice and lots of advice on the website and on social media channels throughout August.
